WNYT is NBC associated station and virtual channel 13. NBC WNYT News channel is employing New York’s Capital District and licensed to Albany, New York, United States. Hubbard Broadcasting is the owner of the television on North Pearl Street while its transmitter is situated at the Heidelberg Escarpment west of New Salem, a hamlet of New Scotland. In January 1955 to Albany’s WROW and WNYT News Channel lost its CBS association. In WNYT ABC 13 Van Curler buys Troy Broadcasting’s stake and returned the channel to the tone in 1956 as an ABC associate. On Channel 13 decided to have permission to shift the license to Albany In 1958.
To the stronger VHF band, Van Curler then jumped at this option. WNYT took original call letters WAST and FCC decided the request in December. From television 13 to 2 WKTV NBC in Utica moved as part of dial change. On the Albany, WAST moved to a warehouse soon after the improvement. From this location, NBC WNYT News is working today. In various portions of the Capital region market, NBC WNYT News signal was still much weaker. The WNYT News became the Capital District’s CBS associate and switched connection with WTEN On October 23, 1977.

Through the present call sign of WNYT Viacom decided to mark the attachment change. On VHF frequency 12 in October 2003, this channel signed on its digital action. Venture Technologies Hubbard said that it would obtain WNYT Albany on February 25, 2013. Over VHF frequency 13 close down its analog indicator on June 12, 2009. Under this WNYT NBC Channel, 18 and 45 are approved but selected as low powered.
The NBC Channel transmits the most famous programs like Inside Edition, Entertainment Tonight, and The Dr. Oz Show among others. In the region, Nielsen ratings behind WRGB and WNYT NBC News ran a distant third for many years. The station extended and updated its studios below Viacom ownership. On South Church Street the station opened the Berkshire County agency in 2001. The department was the foremost of a Capital region station at that time. On its second digital associate, the station began transmitting NBC Weather Plus in December 2005. With an hour extensive transmit at 11 a.m. WNYT briefly replaced its weekday noon reports in the late 2000s.
